Life-saving Things

Stumbled upon this blog from last winter that never got posted. It seems fitting now with Thanksgiving just around the corner, and my answers wouldn’t be too different today!

Intentional time with my people, podcasts, & puppies are saving my life right now.

Jen Hatmaker asks guests on her show, “What is saving your life right now?” The go-to answer for most of us church folks is almost always Jesus, but Jen is asking the question on a more base level. What are you finding to be especially life-giving in this particular season of life?

Are novels or inspirational books bringing an extra measure of joy these days? Or maybe its your daily walk in the brisk cool air, capturing beautiful photos around town, that winter puzzle on the table, or perhaps there’s one sole person who is filling your love tank lately.

Days are mundane, and life is just plain hard at times, but we should be able to name a few things bringing us joy — things which are maybe even saving our lives right now.

Jen’s question stirs gratitude.

Intentional time with my people, podcasts (late to the game here, folks!), and puppies are a few things which are breathing new life into mine this winter season.

What has been your saving grace these days?
